Masonry Quality Assurance: Specifications and Inspection

Description:
Quality masonry projects require good design and workmanship. To assure quality in the built project, the designer must begin by providing quality masonry specifications. Learn some of the “do’s” and “don’ts” of writing masonry specifications. Continuing the quality assurance by providing inspection of the masonry construction promotes good workmanship. In this seminar, you will learn the inspection requirements of the codes, proper placement of materials, mortar and grout, how to determine the compressive strength of masonry, and appropriate severe weather procedures.

Attendees receive copies of the TMS Annotated Guide to Masonry Specifications, audience notes, and the Reinforced Concrete Masonry Construction Inspector’s Handbook by the Masonry Institute of America.
