This comprehensive seminar is aimed at helping inspectors, engineers and building officials identify and check key quality assurance items on the jobsite. This seminar uses the 2006 IBC and the 2005 MSJC as the primary references and it overviews related ASTM standards and inspection guides. Attendees will learn code inspection requirements, proper placement of materials, mortar and grout, flashing, movement joints, how to determine the compressive strength of masonry, and appropriate severe weather procedures.
Who should attend? Masonry inspectors, building officials, engineers, architects, product suppliers and manufacturers, general contractors, and any person who is involved with masonry design and construction.
Seminar Costs: The per attendee cost:
· Masonry Institute of Oregon or Masonry Society members $320 per person which includes a copy of the 2005 MSJC Codes and Specifications, 2006 Masonry Codes and Specifications, and a comprehensive set of audience notes.
· Non-members $390 per person including the above mentioned reference materials
· Masonry Institute of Oregon members or Masonry Society members that don’t require the reference materials the cost is $200 per person
· Nonmember cost is $270 without the reference materials.
· Cost includes AM & PM snacks as well as lunch
· This seven hour long seminar qualifies for continuing education credits.
