Green Building is becoming the norm in many areas of the country, and most designers, contractors, and material producers are familiar with the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED^TM Rating System. But how does green building differ from sustainable design? And how can masonry be a part of sustainable design?  Instructors will introduce attendees to sustainable design and how sustainable design differs from green building. They will overview the LEED^TM Rating System and the associated certification process, address LEED^TM credit categories, and identify how masonry products can contribute to sustainable design and LEED^TM credits. This presentation will give insight on the environmental building marketplace, as well as cover criteria and considerations used in selecting masonry products for sustainable designs and LEED^TM projects.

This seminar is typically presented in lengths of 2 to 3 hours, making it a perfect edition to a larger program you may be planning. It can also be shortened based on your needs.
